For those who visit from other boards
We welcome, not stand off with drawn swords.
Cast not words that bring insult,
Or replies of harsh words will result.
We are a happy community here,
We exchange words of cheer.
Critique we willingly accept
Providing it comes with respect.
So post your writings, let us see
We don?t expect rhyming perfectly
And critique we?ll give if required
That?s fair, that hopefully will inspire?
Blessings and take care.
Love, Peace and Harmony.
Alan

MODERATORS ADVISEMENT/BOARD RULES
1) Welcome to the Poetry Board, please use this forum for it's created intent: to post and comment on poetry. Periodically the forum has experienced difficulties from poets and posters motivated solely by an interest in provocative discord. These people are known as 'internet trolls' and the moderating team will routinely weed them out.
2) Please do not post anything that might be offensive in terms of race, creed, religion, culture or gender and nothing indefensible about named individuals or institutions. Free speech is an inalienable right but the privilege carries responsibilities and we should like you to bear them in mind at all times.
3) If a poetic passion for an issue proves such, that it cannot be safely posted within the confines of our Poetry Board, then an alternative is available in our 'Extremes of Poetic Thought/Writing' board, which caters for the more intense emotional thought.
It is expected that material submitted to this forum will be responsibly self-moderated by the poet, if not then the moderating team reserve the right to managerially intervene.
Erotic material[sexual],the graphic depiction of violence/cruelty, work of a political or religious nature, anything that could be considered deviant from mainstream poetry should also be posted under our 'Extremes of Poetic Thought/ Writing' board, with the proviso that it constitutes a poem of a bona fide art form and not hard-core pornography, which will be rapidly and routinely deleted. The Forums feature profanity filtering to remove obscenities published so please be mindful of language. It should be remembered that children of tender years have access to the Poetry Board and moderators have a brief to protect as well as moderate. Any work regarded as unsiutable for the Poetry Board will be relocated to the Extremes Board.
4) With the best will in the world, occasionally members will disagree and that being so, we'd appreciate said disputes being taken to ezbox or email as opposed to open forum. If members have cause to complain over specific board issues or would care to raise genuine and constructive suggestions, then please contact Board Admin/mediator PBAmin, for mediation and resolution. Complaints about moderators may be made via the same channels, questions concerning our forum provider Forward Press, should be emailed direct to Sharon Spencer at inbox@forwardpress.co.uk.
5) Please comment/critique in addition to posting your own work, with one or two comments for every poem posted.
6) Members are asked to limit the posting of new poetry to a maximum of 3 posts per day? [The posts might contain one poem or several but multiple postings should be avoided wherever possible as several pieces of differing work within the same post might raise difficulties for anyone wishing to comment.] The moderating team will assess any infringement/abuse of this requirement and posts could be removed without further comment should this rule be flouted directly or in spirit.
This is NOT a suggestion and operates on a midnight-to-midnight basis.
7) This board operates Constructive Criticism, some suggestions for which are listed below. Constructive criticism is invariably polite and does not rip someone's poetry to pieces, anymore than it exists to simply praise without qualification. It is however, good manners to thank fellow poets for any comments received.
Get posting, join our happy community and have FUN!
